Cherry Valley is a town in Otsego County, New York, USA. The population was 1,224 at the 2010 census. The town was established in 1791 from Canajoharie (in Montgomery County) as one of the original towns in the county. It was subsequently divided, giving rise to several new towns: Middlefield, Springfield, and Worcester (all in 1797) and Roseboom in 1854. Cherry Valley is a beautiful farming village with culture, class, and affordability. Once home to famous poet Allen Ginsburg, it's a great place to retreat and find your sanctuary.
